Available Post-Doc Position at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, UAE !
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team for a challenging and innovative project focusing on reducing the weight of polymer insulators for high-power cables. The research work is part of a larger research project with an industrial partner, and the objective of the research tasks within this position is to explore novel methods for decreasing the weight of polymer insulators, while maintaining or enhancing their mechanical properties.
The position is for 2 years (with a possible extension), and the candidate is required to have:
• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong background in polymer science, with expertise in polymer processing and characterization methods.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a research team.
• Prior experience with graphene, 2D nano- or 2D materials is desirable, but not required.
