Cargo Manager

Alchemy hiring a Cargo Manager in Abu Dhabi.
Salary up to 12000 depending upon the experience.
Job Description:
• Leads the development of strategies to improve #air, #sea and #land #freight and #warehouse management.
• Drives continuous improvement and #business development to achieve sales and revenue targets and meet customer needs
• Develops Team Member’s Technical Capabilities and maintain their positive morale.
• Possess strong communication, computer literacy, and problem-solving skills.
• Establish and manage relationships with the #shippers/ #consignees, key industry, trade partners, and associations so that company interests are well represented.
• Capability to negotiate #cargo space and secure preferential rates from the Operators.
• Propose initiatives to enhance productivity and innovations
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures including all Government regulations.
• Onsite support in supervision of loading/unloading/packaging and storing.
• Possess a strong sense of customer service and adaptability.
• Initiate a Cargo Business plan with Principal #carriers. Identify local business trends and provide timely feedback on market conditions with respect to pricing and competitors’ activities.
• Ensure on-time reporting the all sales and manage #HAWB & #MAWB s stock records.
• Conduct weekly sales Meeting to review sales and feedback on market conditions.
• Prepare and consolidate regular reports for management review.
• Establishing and maintaining close relationships with the team and the line manager.
Qualification & Skills required:
• Any Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 8+ years work experience in relevant industry with at least 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory/ Managerial level.
• Expertise in Iata Cargo Handling Procedures and Regulations and familiar with fundamentals of #Load Control.
• Customer-focused and analytical with good judgment.
• Can work with minimum supervision, unpredictable conditions, shift patterned and long hours as required by operations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English. Arabic speakers welcome.
• Effective people management and planning/organizing skills,
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office and cargo management systems (#oryx and #LODIGE).
• Valid UAE driving license
