Job Objectives:
Supervising the preparation of policies and research on all policies related to all economic sectors and ways to develop them or introduce amendments to them or introduce new policies that would improve and raise the level of performance of these sectors.

Basic duties and responsibilities
Administrative Role:
Approving the recommendations and contributing to the preparation of the operational plan and the estimated budget for the activities and ensuring their alignment with the department’s operational plan and its approval by the concerned authorities in the department.
Supervising the implementation of the management’s operational plan, monitoring expenditure disbursement, periodic follow-up of performance indicators, and reviewing completion rates.
Providing the necessary technical information and guidance to the employees to enable them to carry out their work in the required manner.
Participation with the Human Resources Department in selecting and employing the department’s staff and directing the new employees joining the department.
Making decisions regarding the status of employees in the administration (transfer, promotion, salary increase, salary deduction, dismissal from the job...) after consulting with the Human Resources Department regarding the regulations, procedures and powers in this regard.
Evaluating the annual performance of employees, motivating them, reviewing their needs, and developing the administration’s performance in line with the mechanisms in place in the department.
Proposing training programs for employees, whether inside or outside the department.
Holding periodic meetings with the administration’s staff and informing them of the developments in the general direction of the senior management and the government in general.
Receiving the reports prepared by the supervisors/heads of departments in the department and preparing reports on the department’s activities according to the reporting system approved in the department and submitting them on time and according to the direct manager’s request.
Ensure that the department’s work procedures are in line with the Excellence Awards standards, and follow up on improvement opportunities for all feedback reports and the risk register.
Monitoring the achievement of approved standards through inspection and periodic reports, and taking appropriate decisions to avoid or compensate for errors or omissions.
Organizational Role:
Maintaining and protecting the confidentiality of information and the department’s assets.
Ensuring the commitment and understanding of all employees in the department with the approved systems, policies, procedures and work methods in the department.
Delegating responsibilities and powers to subordinates and ensuring the implementation of the plans and programs established by their commitment to the approved procedures.
Develop detailed plans and programs for the work that he personally carries out, and those works carried out by the employees, to ensure that the work is carried out at the highest level of efficiency and productivity.
Coordination between the department’s activities to achieve the main objectives, as well as coordination with other departments and sections in the department.
Organizing and coordinating the distribution of work to subordinates in a way that ensures that they work with high productivity.
Job Role:
Develop the necessary policies to regulate competitiveness, industrial, commercial and logistical affairs.
Develop the necessary policies to support companies and small and medium enterprises and facilitate their work.
Develop the necessary policies to facilitate the affairs and procedures of residents in the Emirate.
Work and coordinate with the various sectors and departments of the department to recommend the necessary legislation to regulate the affairs and areas mentioned above, and work with the Department of Legislation in the department to develop drafts of these legislations and submit them to the concerned authorities.
Reviewing relevant legislation and preparing studies in the affairs and areas that fall within the administration’s powers in order to set the necessary policies for them.
Supervising the organization of training courses for sectors and departments of the economic affairs sector and providing them with advice on policies and legislation that regulate their fields and work.
Supervising the continuous communication with the sectors and departments of the economic affairs sector in order to ensure that the policies keep pace with the work of these sectors and work to develop them.
Work and coordinate with the regulatory and legislative authorities in the Emirate.
Supervising the development of indicators, statistics, research policies and plans that meet the needs and requirements of the business community
Supervising the diagnosis of the negative aspects of the existing policies and examining the obstacles facing the economic sectors.
Supervising continuous coordination with various stakeholders to identify road obstacles and needs to prepare and update relevant policies
Carrying out any other administrative tasks as needed and as assigned to him by the direct supervisor

Preferred Academic Qualifications:
• To have a Bachelor’s degree in Law or its equivalent.
Practical Experiences:
• Practical experience of not less than 9 years in the field of consultancy, legal research and economic legislation, including at least 4 years in a supervisory position in a government institution or sector.
