Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reviews and coordinates project-related payments, i.e. payment certificates and invoices for contractors and consultants as assigned by the Lead or Senior Cost/QS Engineers.
Supports the monitoring and updating of the financial report status of construction contracts and consultancy agreements that will be issued regularly.
Prepares and updates the monthly the cash flow expenditures and budget forecast for specific packages for review and approval by the Senior Cost/QS Engineer.
Supports the review and/or preparation of variation orders as assigned by the Lead Cost/QS Engineer.
Reviews contractor’s cost proposals and engineer’s recommendations.
Reviews and/or prepare cost impact of revisions or changes in design as required and prepares checks of the consultants’ estimates.
Supports the tender process and financial evaluation of bids as required.
Reviews and comments on BOQs for proposed design changes prepared by others.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Lead or Senior Cost/QS Engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

4-year degree in QS, Engineering or related technical field

Minimum Experience:

4 – 7 years of related work with experience in large-scale development projects preferred, and where QS services were performed.

Further Qualification Required:

Incumbent must have a broad general technical and construction background.

Proven ability to perform in a technical capacity, good written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required
