Quantity Surveyor- Abu Dhabi
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for cost control, invoice, variation claims, payment application, payment certificate, and collection of the payments. Also, record all the approved WIR and MIR. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Forecasting the cost of the different materials needed for the project. * Forecasting, monitoring, and issuing the internal invoicing. * Tracking and recording WIR/ MIR for payment booking. * Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly * Measuring and valuing the work done on-site * Booking and issuing the subcontractor payments within 3 days of receiving the WIR and invoices * Raising and following Payments application and variations. * Following the payment certification and collection. * Negotiating Subcontracts prices and schedules. * Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports on a weekly basis. * Issuing the highlighted variations by the project manager within one week. * Following the variations responses from the contractor and obtaining the approvals within the target set by the project manager. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: * Engineering degree holder or extensive experience in construction, building, or civil/structural * 5-year experience in the same field/products * Knowledgeable on AUTOCAD * High level of computer skills * High level in Excel
