Principal Resident Engineer

We are looking to appoint Principal Resident Engineer for our Abu Dhabi office / Project.

To be successful in this role you will be a qualified engineer with a minimum 12+ years’ experience in Project management and construction of HV Overhead Transmission line (400KV / 220KV) including experience in erecting and testing of systems.

You will have to work as an Owners Engineer for the construction of 400kV and / or 220kV HV Overhead Transmission lines. Within this role you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and supervise the construction of OHLs in accordance with project specification ensuring quality and execution to time and budget, to the client’s satisfaction.

You may also be required to review and approve contractor’s designs, supervise the construction, testing and commissioning of various networks projects, whilst being familiar with all safety aspects of a site environment. Previous work experience in the Middle East and an understanding of ADWEA, TRANSCO specifications are mandatory.

We prefer candidates with good communication and leadership skills.

Key Requirements

At least 12+ years’ experience in overseeing transmission line design managing Power related projects in Electrical Engineering.
Previous work experience in the Middle East would be an advantage.
Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent as recognized by the reputed institution.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred)
Clear communication skills both verbal and written.
Good leadership skills to be able to manage a team of people.
Excellent risk mitigation & safety procedure adherence.
