Job Purpose
The Sponsorship Sales Manager will report to the Sponsorship Director and be responsible for selling sponsorship and branding opportunities on ADIPEC; the world s largest exhibition and conference oil, gas and energy industry..
You will work closely with Sponsorship Director and the relevant team members from the exhibition, conference, operations, marketing, and finance departments in order to maximise sponsorship revenue. You will need to effectively target clients to sell the event and special features whilst overseeing the fulfilment and servicing of sponsorship contracts.
While the ideal candidate may not exist, we are seeking an ambitious yet sociable individual who wants to grow in a role alongside an energetic, entrepreneurial, and vibrant team.
You will be able to:
• Demonstrate both an analytical mind set and creative flare that has led to securing a sponsor(s)
• Successfully deliver against multiple elements of the ADIPEC sponsorship sales campaign
• Efficiently and effectively following a plan to meet revenue targets and ensure a premium customer experience
• Co-operate and collaborate with team members to develop sales plans and sponsorship packages
Key Accountabilities
• Conduct thorough analysis of the vendor landscape (including but not limited to: market research to ensure that you understand the dimensions of the vendor/client relationships in the market relevant to your events, target market segmentation, identification of industry trends; and monitoring competitive event performance, cost, and market penetration)
• Work with our internal database to select and accurately target vendor organisations, including building and/or filling in the gaps in our vendor database and specific contact list development.
• Create compelling and creative packages/proposals that deliver against a sponsor s objectives
• Assess current and prospective customer retention and acquisition strategies
• Develop sales plans as specified as well as coordinating on-going sales initiatives, including coordination with the exhibition and conference marketing managers of the sponsorship marketing (online and offline) campaign and relationships with relevant external partners that can help promote the events to vendors
• Work with marketing to develop and manage a budget for each event sponsorship sales campaign
• Work with the entire ADIPEC team to ensure that sponsor requirements and expectations included in their contracts are executed and fulfilled effectively and in a timely fashion
• Oversees the administration and fulfilment of each sponsor ship package sold in liaison with event operations and marketing teams
• Attend events and liaise with sponsor clients onsite to ensure that their contract is fulfilled and all of their expectations are met
• Attend the event with the objective of rebooking and/or gaining commitment from a high proportion of the current sponsors for the following year s event
• Keep up to date via a wide range of material including various industry publications relevant to the topic areas and audiences of ADIPEC for developments and trends in the industry and to develop new sponsorship opportunities.
Job-Specific Skills/Knowledge:
• Extensive experience in sponsorship sales ideally in large scale B2B events. However, other sectors of the events industry will be considered
• Knowledge and understanding of the oil, gas and energy industry a distinct advantage but not essential
• Understand the digital landscape and how it can be integrated into sponsorship packages
• Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills

• Contract management
• Experience in the use of Salesforce (or another CRM system) in both mass and targeted sales campaigns
• Excellent command of written and spoken (business) English other languages could be an advantage.
• Sound commercial awareness, excellent organisational skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Solid numeric abilities and experience with quantitative analysis
