We’re looking to hire Applications Support Engineer for The National Aquarium Abu Dhabi
Position Summary:
The Application Support Engineer is a key member of the team responsible for using technology to improve business performance and strategy. This duty involves using one’s complex problem solving skills to brainstorm software solutions, and then work together in a small group to craft a pitch to present the idea to the company’s decision makers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support for production environment and other applications incidents.
• Troubleshoot Cloud Native applications and tools for developers.
• Manage Cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to open source projects and improving developer experience as an active member of an open source community.
• Writing code with operations/execution in mind.
• Ensure and maintain full automation of testing and release processes.
• Deploy services and applications to cloud environments, taking operational responsibility for the provided solutions.
• Actively participate in peer reviews and technical solution discussions.
• Understand and handle testing tasks.
• Understand and handle integration tasks.
Skills:
• Experience in a ticketing solution and a retail environment.
• Experience in ERP solutions, CMS, APIs and reporting.
• Working knowledge of SQL Databases & basic network configuration.
• Basic Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software.
• Ability to learn and master employer-specific software.
• Complex problem solving.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose & address application issues.
