A UHNW Client based in Abu Dhabi is looking to hire an International Sous Chef Level to join their team.

Reporting To Executive Chef
Job Purpose:
The International Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef to run the kitchen operation.
They are responsible for leading, developing, and inspiring a team of Chefs and to deliver the products.
This will be a fantastic role for the right person and will involve a variety of responsibilities.
• Responsible for the entire Kitchen operation, Food production and all related sections, including Stewarding.
• Able to handle multiple tasks with the ability to work under tremendous work pressure whilst remaining focused and results-oriented
• Works independently and to build and develop an efficient multi-disciplinary team across nationalities
• Substantial experience in preparation of banquets and menu development using both general and specialist foods
• Good communicator at numerous levels both within an organization and externally
maintaining optimal customer service levels
• Significant supervisory experience to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills to complete their work effectively
• Strong focus on managing controllable expenses – food cost, supplies, and equipment to drive profit through the organization.
Key Accountabilities:
● Preparation, cooking and presenting International dishes.
● Assist with stock ordering and monitoring procedures.
● Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety at all times.
● Take responsibility for your own personal development.
● Demonstrate excellent food preparation practices, portion control, and end to end food
production.
● Supporting the Head Chef to deliver on all measures & targets.
● Follow all operational kitchen processes and procedures, achieving all required standards.
● Take responsibility for delivering the highest measures of food production and presentation
including manning the live cooking stations if required
● Monitor food consumption to ensure satisfaction.
● Support the Head Chef in the introduction of new seasonal dishes.
● Cascade knowledge and expert cooking to junior kitchen staff.
● Suggest innovation ideas to improve food quality
● Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
