الوصف الوظيفي Location: UAE based, with very frequent face to face meetings in Abu Dhabi, UAE Reporting Manager: Middle East Regional Manager Start date: ASAP Duration: Seven months, with potential for extension Remuneration: 44,000 – 60,000 UAE Dirhams per month, depending on experience MAGENTA is a leading Social and Behavioural Change (SBC) Research and Communications agency that specializes in understanding human decision-making processes in order to design communications solutions for positive change. We implement programmes across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, using the latest in behavioural science principles and a rigorous approach to research, strategy, campaign design and implementation. MAGENTA is working with a range of UAE government clients on short-term Social and Behavioural Change strategies. These strategies are developed in close collaboration with a range of local stakeholders, and with a rigorous approach to testing and evaluation. We are looking for an Abu Dhabi-based Team Lead to be our representative in-country, lead on interactions with our clients, drive our broader stakeholder engagement and be responsible for the timely delivery of high quality work. The Team Lead should be curious, rigorous and passionate about effecting positive change in social issues affecting the UAE. Primary responsibilities of the Team Lead will be the following: (1) Client liaison, (2) Stake- holder interaction and analysis, (3) Programme management and (4) Reporting. RESPONSIBILITIES The local team lead will be MAGENTA’s UAE focal point, leading on engagement with clients and other local stakeholders. He/she will be responsible for participating in project design and overseeing its implementation in the UAE. Typical tasks include Client and stakeholder liaison: ▪Regular in-person meetings with UAE government clients and other key stakeholders ▪Lead on day-to-day client liaison, including some ‘out of hours’ contact ▪Organise and conduct workshops in Abu Dhabi Programme and Context Analysis: ▪Contribute to project research and design, including stakeholder mapping and consultations with subject matter experts, key informants, academics, etc. to inform situation analyses ▪Conduct thorough literature reviews to inform the design of research studies and pro- grammes ▪Conduct communications landscape and capacity analyses ▪Write insightful technical reports, programme presentations and programme updates ▪Oversee data collection and implement quality assurance checks ▪Conduct analysis of primary and secondary data (qualitative and quantitative) to support programme implementation using relevant tools ▪Contribute to programme design, focusing on the stakeholder engagement plan and the SBCC process design in light of stakeholder mapping and baseline results, applying SBCC models to the proposed strategy. Programme Management: ▪Provide inputs to project plans, Gantt charts and resource plans, including overseeing the effective implementation of activities ▪Manage project budgets, deliverables, KPIs and project reviews, with ultimate responsibility for delivering against contractual requirements, ensuring deliverables are on time, to budget and of the highest quality ▪Lead project teams, including research team ▪Oversee coordination with project partners ▪Conduct internal and external training/workshops as required ▪Manage project logistics and administrative tasks, including cost tracking and knowledge management Reporting: ▪Prepare weekly client updates ▪Develop high quality PowerPoint presentations REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES ▪6-10 years professional experience ▪At least 6 years of programme management experience ▪Experience in communications and/or research ▪Experience in early childhood development desirable ▪Top tier university graduate ▪Strategic thinker, with a keen desire to learn and consume new information ▪Robust logic chain analytics and strong general analytical skills ▪Solid understanding of project management cycle ▪Excellent written and verbal communication skills ▪Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities ▪Demonstrated desire for excellence and an ability to inspire others to attain professional excellence ▪Innovation driven ▪Technological fluency ▪Excellent written and spoken English mandatory, fluency in Arabic a strong asset ▪Good sense of humour, personable and demonstrated ability to build networks ▪Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to work on all aspects of a project ▪Software fluency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365 ▪Desirable software fluency: Nvivo, SPSS WORKING CONDITIONS ▪Some long hours including evening and weekends to complete tasks or attend meetings ▪Fast turn-around on key deliverable and client presentations INSTRUCTIONS Apply before 25 June 2021.
