1 Complete knowledge for Oil & Gas structures fabrication.
2 Ability to read and understand the drawings to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
3 Minimum 8-10 yrs of overall experience. Minimum 5 years of Gulf Experience preferred.
4 Marking, Cutting, grinding and fit up of parts (Units) as per the drawings requirements.
5 Locate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines.
6 Preheat work pieces to make them malleable using hand torches.
7 Knowledge of Straightening warped or bent parts by hand torches, straightening
presses.
8 Set up and operate fabricating machines like, rollers, flame cutters, grinders, and drill
presses to bend, cut, form, punch, drill etc.
9 Knowledge for making jigs, and fixtures for the desired work.
10 Knowledge of tack welding to join the components.
11 Ability to Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers,
and measuring tapes.
12 Design and construct templates and fixtures, using hand tools.
13 Able to position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits as per the
drawings and layout specifications
14 Able to use overhead cranes to lift materials or work pieces.
15 Knowledge to making lay out as per the drawing and check the availability of materials
as per the specifications.
16 Align and fit parts according to specifications, using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges and
hammers etc.
17 Mark reference points onto floors and transpose them to work pieces, using
measuring devices, squares, chalk etc.
