• Reports directly to Laboratory Manager.
• Performing testing on civil construction materials to the required Standards or Codes as to ensure quality control specification requirements are met.
• Control of sample identification & registration and reporting numbers.
• Prepares and maintains required documentation of test results, reports and data.
• Promptly advising Laboratory Manager for any concerns regarding the condition of the samples, recorded test results or if a special testing service is to be provided.
• Performs in-house calibration, where applicable, in accordance with appropriate standards and methods.
• Monitoring at frequent intervals testing equipment for validity of calibration and correct operation, while at the same time ensure its withdrawal if it is found unfit for use.
• Notifies the Laboratory Manager for any faulty or damaged equipment and ensures its withdrawal from the working area.
• Assists in maintaining an organized equipment/material inventory and labelling system.
• Conducting witnessed assessments as required.
• Performs any other related duties as assigned.
