Database Architect - Buna

Introduction

As the implementation phase of Buna, formerly known as the Arab Regional Payment System (ARPS), project picks up momentum, we are looking for a responsible Database Architect to join our founding team. Duties of the Database Architect include for the management of Buna’s data assets through the setting of the architecture, standards and design implementation strategy of the company’s database systems and/or infrastructure. The Database Architect is also responsible for the continuous management and administration of Buna’s database systems. This position will report to Chief Technology Officer.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards of Buna’s core platform
Establish processes for governing and managing Buna data assets including transactional data, master data, metadata, etc.
Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement
Create strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving
Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance
Address data-related problems linked to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration
