Backup Storage Engineer

Main Job Responsibilities
Designing , deployment , configuration & management of Backup & Storage infrastructure solutions ranging from VERITAS Backup ,EMC Networker , Veeam , CIFS & NAS Solutions , Secure Data protection technologies for data on Rest Encryption ,Linux & Unix infrastructure systems , Hyper converged Systems ,Replication Technologies for backup and Storage ,Archiving technologies .

The technical engineer will be required to act as the primary storage and backup infrastructure expert to collect and analyze customer specific requirements pertaining to backup and storage domain and propose solutions which might also include researching, testing new innovative solutions, proof of concept to clients, architecting, designing and successfully implementing the solution.

This individual will need to have a combination of technical depth in the areas of Infrastructure data protection solutions, Storage solutions, Hypervisor Systems, Mail systems, DR Scenario Failover of Backup and Storage, Archive of E-mail and Filer data.

The technical engineer will be required to develop collaborative technical relationships with our client IT teams and assist them in developing the right systems protection and archive solutions as well as Storage systems & standards to meet their needs in datacenter and DR infrastructure.
Will be required to build architecture diagrams as well as well as HLD & LLD to tailor the need of the client requirements in RFP proposals along with solution architects.

Must be willing to be part of a team and work collaboratively with other subject matter experts of other domains.

Will be part of Professional services & Support team and will be primarily responsible for the design & implementation of infrastructure data protection solutions/Storage infrastructure as well as L2 post implementation support.

Will be required to generate reports on performance, capacity & scalability of the Backup & Storage & Unix /Linux infrastructure components for the enterprise customers.

Work on migration projects for migrating backup and storage workload data from legacy infrastructure /earlier version setup to the new infrastructure designed and build.
