Adjunct Faculty -Academic Bridge Program

Job Description and Requirements
The Responsibility
• Successful candidates will teach up to twenty contact hours per week with class sizes that average between18 and 20 students.
• Instructors plan and deliver lessons using an integrated-skills approach and utilizing mobile learning technology.
• They are also responsible for assessing student performance and maintaining accurate records.
• Interacts with academic administrators, faculty, support staff and students of the University

The Requirements
• Masters Degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics (preferred) or Bachelor Degree and a TEFL/TESL Diploma. A minimum of three years’ teaching experience, preferably at the adult or tertiary level
• Fluent in written and spoken English at native speaker level of competence
• High degree of digital literacy will be given preference

• Readily shares information, contributes to team discussions, making positive suggestions and fostering team success

• Able to interact, communicate and work effectively with colleagues from a wide variety of different nationalities and cultures
• Demonstrates cultural empathy and openness to the customs and norms of others, most specifically to the unique environment of the UAE and ZU students
• Demonstrates awareness and openness to the unique societal milieu and background of ZU students
• Demonstrates tolerance of ambiguity and personal resilience
• Acts with confidence, tact and discretion
Applicants must have a valid UAE residence visa, and will be required to provide a No Objection Letter from their sponsor.
