Job Description and Requirements a.) Ensure that the Central Separation and Gas Treatment plants are operated efficiently, safely and economically in accordance with approved programmes and instructions. b.) Take necessary measures to deal with planned and unforeseen fluctuations and keep production personnel concerned and other departments informed of changes, and obtain permission for making changes, as necessary. c.) Prepare for a review, modifications to enhance production, injection and safety of the installations. d.) Plan programme of work to ensure the safe and efficient working of the plant, and supervises the implementation of this. e.) Approve and issue work permits for ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ work; prepare equipment for maintenance or repair work and after work is completed to review maintenance work and test equipment, and prepare it for operation. f.) Ensure a high level of safety throughout the plants; reacting to emergency situations when they occur and taking action in line with standing instructions. Is in charge of the first action for firefighting until transferred to higher authority. g.) Instruct operators in isolating and ensuring that plant and equipment are free of gas and safe for maintenance, repair, overhaul or modifications. h.) Ensure that accurate records are kept of consumables used in the plants, and issues requisitions for new material to ensure stocks are available. i.) Keep a log book of occurrences, plant conditions, instructions and work to be carried out, and check the log books kept by the Senior Operators. j.) Ensure the periodical and recommended chemical batches out for subsea trunks lines. k.) Prepare for review, detailed procedures to be followed in non-routine circumstances. l.) Identify training needs of his subordinates, initiate training activities for them, and may participate in such training. m.) Be ultimately responsible for good housekeeping within his plant. n.) Monitors and controls all activities within his area of responsibility are conforming to “HSE Standards and Guidelines” set by the company. o.) Guide and develop U.A.E. National Developees to achieve their target position set by hierarchy. Minimum Requirement a.) Completion of Secondary technical education (12 years) + advanced vocational technical qualifications are preferable. 8 to 10 years production or refinery experience in the petroleum industry including gas processing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory position.
