The Role
As the Financial Control & Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the management team providing financial operating control and analysis to support decision making relating to business initiatives and processes. You will manage the P&L;with your responsibilities including:
Working closely with senior management to make recommendation on risk and opportunities for top line, manage operating expenses, supervise reporting, lead the forecasting and budgeting process
Development, implementation and follow-up of internal control, risk management processes (operational risk, inventory management, regulatory risks)
Lead development of systems and processes for improving efficiency and productivity, regularly audits old systems and procedures
Manage tax and VAT returns, including excise compliance
Cash management and inventory control

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established multinational retail business where you would be the number one in finance in the region. As the ideal candidate, you must meet the following requirements:
Have a minimum of 5 years’ finance experience in industry, ideally within retail/travel industry
A professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) with Big 4 experience is preferred
Understanding and experience with local tax and VAT laws, including excise tax
SAP experience is advantageous
Be an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with senior management across multiple jurisdictions
