Job description
As a Business Development Engineer (BD Engr.) you will be concerned with exploring new markets and identifying new project opportunities in the water sector by fostering and developing relationships with clients, consultants and other partners. The territory for strategic business development activities will include the GCC region.
You will be instrumental for the growth of the business.  You will increase the number of project wins through strategic business development activities and positioning the company in appropriate markets. 
Your business development activities will focus on the construction and installation of water pipelines, water and wastewater treatment plants, and other water infrastructure. You will report directly to the Head of the Tendering Department of the Company’s Water Division in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Tasks and responsibilities
· Prepare and execute strategic business development plan including marketing campaigns for your territory.
· Identify key client / consultants in your territory.
· Register the company with the potential new clients.
· Grow the number of business opportunities and lead the funnel management.
· Identify project opportunities at an early stage of a project cycle by frequently visiting clients and using online tools.
· Identify potential partners (JV, consortium partner, subcontractors, consultants etc.).
· Develop and maintain relationships with key clients / consultants.
· Regular follow up with clients / consultants during tendering process.
· Represent the company in exhibitions , conferences and seminars.
· Prepare regular reports about ongoing and future project opportunities to the management of the Water Division.

Skills and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering with more than 5 years’ experience.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development for water projects in the GCC region.
· Provides existing business network in the water industry in the GCC region.
· Must be a highly motivated self-starter without needing substantial supervision.
· Must have appropriate soft skills to establish and maintain business relationships with clients.
· Ability to work in an international environment with diverse cultures and challenges.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage.
· Strong IT skills including MS Office, use of online marketing tools, etc.
· Extensive travelling in the GCC region.
