6.1. Promotes optimum patient health and well-being.

6.2.3. Intervenes and follows-up on incidents to reduce likelihood of occurrence.

6.3. Demonstrates professional behaviour when working with people.
6.3.1. Provides nursing care that demonstrates respect for human rights.
6.3.2. Recognizes the responsibility to work within the professional standards and ethical codes of practice.
6.3.3. Protects the patient from risks, harm, abuse or neglect within the boundaries of nursing care.
6.3.4. Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures that guide the practice.
