Position Summary
The Senior Manager - Campus Support is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to all campus support functions within campus. He/she is responsible for managing non-academic and para-academic functions including Finance, HR, Facilities Management, Procurement and Contracts, IT and Student Life in coordination with Central Services with the aim to deliver consistent services across HCT.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Campus Support strategy in alignment with HCT’s system-wide strategy.
Support with the development and implementation of Campus Support policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates.
Contribute to the development of the annual budget of the Campus Support.
Operational
Lead and oversee all non-academic campus support functions and daily operations within the campus, including Finance, HR, Facilities Management, Procurement and Contracts, and IT.
Serve as the main point of contact between Central Services and campus for all affairs tied to campus support functions.
Develop and monitor effective quality management systems on campus and implement corrective measures as and when required.
In coordination with HCT Central Services, oversee the proper communication of tools, methods, policies, procedures and processes to campus support functions and that the staff receives proper training and support with utilising these tools and methods.
Maintain procedures for purchasing, security, inventory and maintenance for all physical assets within the campus.
Coordinate with Central Services to provide them with information on the performance of campus support services and staff.
Look at service delivery model and processes related to central and campus interaction, and recommend improvements as and when needed.
Address risks and issues from campus support functions to relevant stakeholders within the Central Services and coordinate with central support functions to resolve issues.
Consult with administrators, supporting staff and faculty to assess campus support functions’ needs and to design efficient and effective responses to meet them.
Liaise with local government agencies, private contractors, suppliers and other external organisations with regards to facilities, contract issuance, resource acquisition and utilisation.
Produce regular and ad hoc reports and analysis on campus support functions’ activities and programmes and communicate them to Director - Campus.
Review and oversee student programmes and events at the community level including, but not limited to, volunteering activities, sports events, entertainment events, receptions, etc.
Oversee the effective and efficient collaboration between Student Life and Student Affairs Central Services to provide data in a timely and accurate manner for consolidation purposes.
People Management
Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct subordinates based on HCT’s Performance Management System.
Support with the development of workforce plans for the Campus Support and work with the Human Resources function on succession planning for key positions in the Campus Support.
Contribute to the identification of learning and development needs of employees within the Campus Support in collaboration with the Human Resources function.
Coach and mentor subordinates on a regular basis.
Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Business Administration.
Full English proficiency is required.
Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office.
Experience
Minimum of eight years of work experience in Campus Support or any relevant field with at least two years of experience in a managerial role.
