Senior Electrical Engineer

Requirement :
•Provide technical expertise to project teams to ensure technical adequacy of engineering; supervise staff assigned by Project Lead Engineer
•Apply design knowledge to design projects for the development of conceptual designs in accordance with department and contract requirements. This will include development of project specific specifications, technical content of requisitions, checking of designs and calculations and approval of vendor data
•Responsible for the engineering of particular plant or project area assigned by the Project Lead Engineer ensuring compliance with technical, commercial and schedule requirements
•Provide supervision and guidance on all design and technical matters. Review and resolve interdisciplinary design and technical issues to ensure the most effective and efficient design is adopted.
•Develops solutions to complex design problems using initiative and own acquired knowledge.
•Report on a regular basis on all matters affecting technical problems, costs or schedule to the project lead engineer or project engineer as appropriate
•Incorporation of design requirements for health, safety, quality and constructability into design deliverables
•May act as lead design engineer on small projects. In this role have the accountabilities as defined for lead design engineer
•Follow and comply with all Corporate Information Security Policies.
•Follow and comply with all Corporate HSE and Quality Policies.

•BSc. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
•Minimum 8 years’ experience in the engineering field preferably including 5 years in Oil and Gas contracting
•Experience in supervision of more junior engineers
•Understanding of environmental health and safety requirements of the work
•Has experience in basic diversified design activities without supervision
•In depth technical knowledge of electrical equipment like transformers, synchronous motors and generator, induction motors, HV/ LV switchgears, AC /DC UPS, variable speed drives, SCADA, Cables etc.
•In depth knowledge of the system studies software like ETAP, CYME etc. and illumination level calculation software and battery sizing software
•Must have prior experience generating the engineering deliverable like equipment specifications, data sheets, detailed engineering calculations and drawings like Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Cable Drum Schedules, and Interconnection Schedule, and bulk MTO.
•Familiar with industry codes, standards and practices, such as IEC, IEEE, British Standard etc.…..
•Must be able to handle the procurement support activities like preparation of material requisition, technical bid evaluation of vendor offers and vendor print review independently.
•Understanding of environmental health and safety requirements of the work
•Practical understanding of necessary interfacing requirements of other disciplines
