The Senior System Engineer is a key offshore engineering position for Astoria Solutions. The position is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of RFID & SATCOM equipment. The Senior System Engineer will need to plan and execute the elements of the job both onshore and offshore as needed.
• Responsible for the installation and maintenance of RFID system & SATCOM setup on offshore platform.
• Installs, configures and commissions the on-premise application server and database at customer site.
• Configuring, debugging and supporting multiple infrastructure platforms.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Diagnoses causes of malfunctions or failures and performs preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Be expected to gain an understanding of the technical and functional aspects of Astoria’s products in order to perform analysis for issue prevention and troubleshooting when necessary.
المهارات
Essential:
Diploma or higher in Information Technology/Engineering related certification.
Proven working experience in the oil and gas industry, Offshore platform, for plant maintenance, turnaround, and commissioning for 5 years or more.
Trained or hold relevant certificates in SATCOM, Networking, Application Server, Database administration.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, presentation critical thinking skills.
Disciplined, organized, self-accountable and self-motivated.
Strong communication skills; Proficient in written and verbal English.
Advantageous:
Completed a BOSIET safety training course, with a valid Offshore Medical.
Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems.
Be willing to travel/ work abroad.
Hold relevant residence status to work.
