Job Description and Requirements + Reporting on Team resourcing requirements with respect to project deadlines + Development of the Team skills to ensure a high level of competency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery + Implementing continuous improvements in team skills methods of working and efficiencies + Interfacing with the Digital Project Delivery Lead to ensure alignment of strategies + Ensuring robust strategies in place for project coordination workflows + The candidate must be from an MEP design background and be fully conversant with the implementation of MEP projects in BIM, including development of Dynamo scripts, automation of design processes and production of MEP designs and schedules in BIM. The candidate must be fully conversant with Revit, Navisworks, clash detection and resolution techniques, QAQC procedures together with Industry standards such as AIA BIM Forum, BS/PAS 1192 and best practices. The candidate must be a good communicator and be capable of mentoring and building a team. + **Job Duties:** + In addition to the skills outlined above, the duties are: + Responsible for developing MEP BIM workflows to improve the efficiency of BIM delivery + Create and help manage MEP discipline BIM Standards + Manage MEP Revit Templates + Develop MEP BIM content based on BIM Modelling standards + Development of standard modelling practices and procedures and implementing these within the team + Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common model development tasks + Perform both routine and non-routine, complex modelling assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. + Works with Project BIM Managers and project engineers to communicate, problem solve, and update models for coordination and design issues + Assist engineers/architects with drawing coordination problem solving + Maintain awareness of compliance to safety and quality standards and integration of design + Implement BIM modelling techniques and processes to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the production process. + Provide a leadership role to the junior modellers within the discipline + Maintain an overview of developments in BIM modelling systems and standard Codes of Practice. + Upskilling the BIM team to execute AECOM standard processes into everyday project production and deliver LOD 200 & LOD 300 models + Improve and customize content libraries including Revit families + Develop and execute user training for BIM software + Manage drawing standards and ensure consistency across the team + Direct and manage all MEP BIM related activities from project start-up to project completion + Manage the adherence to the BIM Execution Plan (including defined project standards) by the entire MEP project team + Manage the collaboration/file exchange site and process for the project + Liaise with the MEP teams in other offices and GDCs. + Responsible for implementing model maintenance and model QA/QC processes projects + Provide regular updates on the status of BIM Team and training to the MEP team Management. + Specific Skills Required: + Expert in Revit MEP + Must be proficient in use of Navisworks Manage for multidisciplinary coordination + Must be versed in local industry BIM Initiatives and internationally recognised BIM initiatives, standards, protocols and mandates such as BS1192 and ISO19650 + Must be proficient in drawing/model management systems (BIM 360 Docs & Glue, Aconex or ProjectWise) + General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice + Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook) + Must be detail-oriented, consistent and highly accurate in the work + Should have a thorough grasp of engineering modelling and principles. + Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills + Must have good communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written + Ability to set priorities in an efficient and timely manner to meet essential job functions. + Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be a self-starter. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team *Minimum Requirements** + Experience of delivering MEP BIM Projects in the UAE + Previous Project BIM Coordination / Project Information Management experience + Revit Certified Professional certification required within 2 years of current version + Experience with team management and training. *Preferred Qualifications** |
