Job Description and Requirements + Coordinates and leads the assigned team of Engineers on a day to day basis and ensures that design excellence is achieved throughout + Responsible for the correctness, accuracy and complete multi-disciplinary coordination of the design documentation prepared by the assigned team + Leads design work on small projects or particular packages for large projects ensuring project objectives are met, design instructions are implemented and delivery is achieved within the set time and budget + Ensures regular coordination with project teams ensuring communication is flowing adequately, and questions concerns are addressed + Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, develops details, develops specifications + Regularly reviews and checks their own deliverables for accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness ensuring delivery is as per AECOMs Technical Excellence standards + Oversees the production of drawings either in Autocad or Revit and co-ordinates using Navisworks + Prepares equipment schedules as required + Take responsibility for the Statutory Authorities approval process + Attend client meetings + Confidently present work to colleagues, clients and stakeholders. + Provide technical support to site supervision teams and resolve design related issues on site + Coordinate and develop responses to review comments, tender queries, contractors queries, etc. + Responsible, with guidance from senior team members, for the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports + Keeps abreast of the latest software/ techniques to increase productivity while sharing knowledge with colleagues *Minimum Requirements** + Developed HVAC or PH design skills and understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines + Skilled at researching equipment options and installation requirements so that the information can be noted in depth on the drawings + Capable of producing a set of quality specifications + Able to review shop drawings and samples to ensure drawings and materials match AECOM specifications + Demonstrates an organized and systematic approach to producing a project. Understands the necessity to keep team and project tasks lists updated and complete + Demonstrates Time Management skills and constantly seeks to streamline processes and procedures to increase quality and efficiency + Effectively communicates across the business and with clients + Flexibility of attitude towards company objectives + Positive relationships with clients and stakeholders + Developed presentation skills + Extensive project experience + Developed leadership skills + Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and working on projects in a BIM environment + Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements + Developed knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Principles + Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles + Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the team + Ability and motivated to update skills and expertise through continuing professional development (CPD) initiatives + Detailed knowledge of AECOMs standards, policies, codes and procedures and ability to transmit the same to others + Excellent command of English (written and spoken). + Knowledge of other languages is an added value. *Preferred Qualifications** + International Accreditations (MCIBSE / MASHRAE or equivalent) |
