Head of Support - Instrumentation (Nuclear)

Job Description and Requirements
* Verify job tasks are performed in a timely manner and with quality to achieve the highest level of safety and reliability.
* Provide oversight on instrumentation maintenance activities performed by contractors and NPP staff to identify deficiencies or procedure compliance deficiencies.
* Prepare for World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) pre-start up peer reviews to ensure a successful result.
* Provide oversight on instrumentation maintenance activities performed by contractors, when necessary, to ensure compliance with procedures and quality work products.
* Keep instrumentation maintenance work instructions and model work orders to serve as templates for the plants
* Provide direction, strategy, and influence to prioritize and plan instrumentation maintenance procedures to ensure the most important work is done first.
* Manage instrumentation maintenance procedure adherence index and procedure review cycle to highlight issues and ensure currency of procedures.
* Prepare, review, implement, and track procedures to facilitate procedure development and modification to ensure alignment with regulatory and industry best practices.
* Prepare specialist procedures and observe implementation to facilitate improvement
* Track procedure compliance and raise Conditional Reports to address procedure deficiencies.
* Lead alignment of Maintenance Surveillance Procedures with Operations Procedure to facilitate coordination.
* Implement Maintenance Procedure optimization strategy to improve work efficiency and effectiveness.
* Design Operating Experience, training, observation findings into procedures to improve their usefulness.
* Develop management expectations and communicate with department to ensure high level of safety and reliability of plant systems.
* Monitor and consult to improve staff performance.
* Critically evaluate performance of individual staff to develop necessary training.
* Verify training programs provide necessary technical knowledge and skills to ensure staff are properly trained and qualified to conduct assigned responsibilities.
