Head of Instrumentation - MMIS

Job Description and Requirements
* Oversee all MMIS maintenance and ensure that all job tasks are performed timely and with quality to achieve highest level of safety and reliability in the MMIS Instrumentation area.
* Conduct maintenance activities on the systems turned over to plant operations to ensure operational readiness.
* Provide proper oversight of Long-Term Maintenance Agreement (LTMA) contractors performing tasks noted in this section to ensure alignment of Instrumentation MMIS maintenance activities.
* Monitor and provide revised MMIS Instrumentation operations procedures, surveillance test procedures, and procedures developed by other departments to ensure procedural standardization.
* Review and provide support in preparation of operating license documents to ensure procedural compliance.
* Develop instrument master list in the MMIS area to ensure accountability of critical MMIS equipment.
* Review and prepare for procurement of critical spare parts to ensure MMIS maintenance activities are adequately resourced.
* Review and manage instrument set point list to ensure accountability of instrumentation.
* Develop procurement plan of testing and Standard Work Plan for equipment important to safety and reliability.
* Develop operations plan for on-line maintenance and long-term maintenance agreement to ensure alignment of maintenance activities.
* Review equipment master database and material master database to ensure accountability of equipment and materials.
* Participate in important commissioning tests, specifically Cold Hydrostatic Testing and Hot Function Testing (CHT/HFT), to ensure operational readiness.
* Conduct technical reviews on Single Point Vulnerabilities to mitigate system risk.
* Review Power Ascension Test (PAT) procedures and perform and support PAT to ensure operational readiness.
* Review the Turned over Packages after completion of the Commissioning to ensure packages contained proper procedures and resource allocations.
* Conduct periodic and surveillance tests on MMIS systems to ensure operational readiness.
* Review MMIS operations procedures and surveillance test procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry best practices.
* Review procedures developed by other departments and provide comments to ensure alignment across departments.
* Monitor commissioning performance tests on equipment important to safety and reliability to ensure operational readiness.
* Conduct system receipt performance tests to ensure operational readiness of MMIS systems.
* Develop maintenance experience documents for systems important to safety and reliability to capture lessons learned.
* Develop plan for vendor maintenance of equipment important safety and reliability to ensure equipment is being properly maintained by contracted vendors.
* Procure test equipment for equipment important to safety and reliability to ensure the ability to monitor and maintain this equipment.
* Prepare for outage maintenance to minimize downtime due to outage.
* Oversee periodic and surveillance tests on I&C;systems to ensure proper use of appropriate procedures
* Provide technical support for other station groups to facilitate problem solving
* Prepare for WANO pre-start up peer reviews to ensure proper communication of Nawah status
* Lead the troubleshooting process on the control systems to facilitate problem solving
* Manage the effective achievement of the Organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
* Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
* Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.
