Adjunct Faculty, Natural Sciences (Math / Physics / Chemistry)

Job Description and Requirements
Position Summary
Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in a relevant Math / Physics / Chemistry discipline. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Faculty members play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.

Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience. To be considered for an adjunct position, candidates must reside in the UAE and be able to provide the HCT with a ‘no objection certificate’ (referred to as an NOC letter) from your visa sponsor. Adjunct faculty are paid monthly for credit hours.

Requirements
Master’s Degree in Physics and a professional certification relevant to the discipline
A PhD in the complimentary Engineering discipline is desirable
A minimum 3 years of engineering teaching/training experience at a tertiary level, preferably in Physics.
At least 3 years of relevant industrial experience in the core discipline
Must be able to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas
A high degree of computer literacy and demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the learning environment and teaching methodology
Overseas teaching/training experience to non-native English speakers is desirable
