Job Summary

• Practice the Specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and ensure compliance with generally accepted standards and medical practice.
• Actively and effectively perform procedures as privileged in the Hospital and consistent with your credentials.
• To provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate and effective for health promotion, disease prevention and treatment.
• To be aware of established and evolving medical and clinical sciences, and the application of knowledge to patient care and the education of others.
• To follow practice-based learning and improvement, using evidence based and scientific methods to investigate, to evaluate and to improve patient care practices.
• Consistently adhere to the Hospital’s Policies, Quality Standards, Code of Ethics and By-Laws.
• Ensure skilled professional behavior, and act a role model to the staff in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
• Ensure the day-to-day provision of the highest standards of clinical care within the available resources.
• Implement the Department’s policies and procedures regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow-up practices.
• Assists with Consultant staff in ensuring adequate medical coverage is provided within the Department at all times.
Education Requirements
1MBBS or Mbchb or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Licenses, Registrations & Certifications Requirements
Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (Where applicable).
Haad License as Specialist Obstetrician and Gynecologist.
Professional Experience Required (Relevant to the Job)
To be able to review patients independently in various clinical settings, i.e. Outpatient clinics, Inpatients and in the Emergency Room.
Working Conditions / Environment

The incumbent may be required to work during weekends and nights.
May be required to work overtime depending on the needs of the Organization.
This job may require the ability to continuously stand or walk. It may also require the ability to bend, squat and lift documents and files.
