MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, plans, specifications, and related documents.
• Identifies labour, plant, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, Drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Calculates costs by analysing labour, plant, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
• Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
• Visits construction sites to gather information on materials needed, labour required, and other factors.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates.
• Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Use computer software to calculate estimates.
• Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable.
• Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients.
• Assist in developing project plans for the duration of the project.
• Contributes to or presents reports such as tender evaluation and environmental impact statements.
• Correct any project risk or deficiencies that affect the quality and safety requirements before finalizing, evaluating and providing project reviews.
• Performs other related duties as may be required by the immediate supervisor.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

المهارات
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of a bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Applied Science, Civil Engineering or related field from a tier 1 university or colleges. Minimum pass grade 2:2 with Honours, or equivalent.
• Membership of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors desirable.
• Above 3 years of progressive hands-on experience at a construction company in the role of estimator
