As the senior manager in IT, the Head of IT Services is responsible for the design, maintenance, support, and on going improvement of all IT infrastructure and services for both enterprise systems and individual users. The Head of IT must take both a strategic and operational approach to IT services, ensuring proactive management of budgeting, risk, security, upgrades, training, contracts, licensing and all other issues related to a high level IT operation, while also serving as an organizational leader on the SLT.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Architect, supervise and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Ensure high availability of IT services that support internal and external business functions.
• Serve as one of the primary points of contact for telecommunication carriers and service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation and troubleshooting.
• Assist with planning and implementing systems and network integrations.
• Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
• Develop and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the senior management.
• Determine the needs or requirements of all departments in terms of IT technology.
• Purchase efficient and cost effective IT equipment and software as per the requirement.
• Inspect and test IT equipment and software regularly to ensure its functionality and efficiency.
• Identify the needs for upgrades, configurations and future IT enhancements which to be reported to the senior management.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.
Experience
• Strong background in IT Services delivery role; 4 years minimum, with at least two years in a management role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Ability to analyze and assess problem situations as they arise in order to plan, design and implement suitable solutions.
• Expertise in data center management and data governance.
• Extensive hands-on experience with computer networks, network installation and administration.
• Knowledge of current best practice, products, statutory and regulatory requirements, including Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently organize time and resources to complete work accurately, thoroughly and deliver in a timely manner.
• Ability to provide leadership, direction and training to subordinates to enable achievement of department goal and objectives.
