Senior Fire Protection Program Specialist

Supervising work in terms of FP Engineering and analysis based on benchmarks of international standards throughout planning, implementation, execution, and post close-out phases of fire protection activities for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant(BNPP) as per regulatory requirement, Operating polices and Principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection, to ensure overall business performance objectives are achieved.
1. FP Program/ Plan Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Review FP Program/ Plan and provide oversight to ensure proper implementation.

Coordinate the FP Program/ Plan between site FP and corporate FP.

Review and initiate the change of FP Program/ Plan as required according to U.A.E. Laws and Regulations including industrial fire codes and standards.
2. Implement FP Program/ Plan Activities
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Monitor all job tasks in a timely manner to achieve the highest level of safety and reliability in the area of FP related program implementation.

Review and provide oversight of FP related findings and recommendations for Corrective Actions.

Assist in the implementation of FP Program/ Plan (FOS, FSO, SWD, IFRT Drill, etc.).

Review calculation results of fire load and provide oversight and engineering expertise for actual analysis works.

Provide oversight for FP related In Service Inspection (ISI) and activities with engineering judgement.

Review and evaluate the fire hazard analysis report related to design change and procedure change.

Review and provide oversight for inoperable FP equipment or systems to take Corrective Action.

Establish FP area short and long-term implementation plans such as annual business plan based on FP Program/ Plan.

3. Plant Staff Tranining and Qualification
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Establish FP related On the Job Training (OJT) program in consultantation with Site Support FP group.

Monitor and coach to improve performance for implementation of FP Program/ Plan.

Manage to address most recent requirements in training program.

Manage training program to provide necessary technical knowledge and skills by providing accurate feedback.

4. Staker Holder Engagement
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.
5. Health and Safety and Security
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Follow all relevant company’s Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure Health and Safety compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these Health and Safety policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of people, or the environment, who are at the employee’s place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work.

Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets
6. People Management
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.

Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effecti

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related science or equivalent as stated in the Nawah Job Description Procedure (HR-PRC-0004)
Preferred: Post Graduate / master degree in Engineering
Minimum:Engineering Professional
Preferred: Eligible of Professional FP Engineer
Minimum: 5 years working experience in fire protection area in nuclear power plant and 2 year on-site experience or equivalent as stated in the Nawah Job Description Procedure (HR-PRC-0004).
Preferred: 10 years in fire portection experience in nuclear power plant and 5 year on-site experience
