QHSE Officer
Abu Dhabi
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures for the consistent and continuous improvement of QHSE against ISO standards and ensure that the company’s working environment, through its occupational health and safety systems, meets all locally and internationally accepted standards and complies with legal requirement.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Driving the implementation and ongoing monitoring of QHSE requirements across the facility to ensure compliance with requirements ensuring continuous improvements are achieved and documented.
2. Championing the QHSE system with management and involving all employees in ongoing activities that impact QHSE standards
3. Ensuring compliance with the QHSE system & maintenance of site documentation
4. Initiating QHSE system milestones e.g. internal audits and MRM
5. Monitoring of standards in SOP’s through communication plan and monthly meetings
6. Training and mentoring staff across QHSE principles and practice
7. Directing, implementing and monitoring OHS standards and practices
8. Ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records.
9. Reporting on non-compliance and managing investigations of such incidents
10. Ensuring all legislation is adhered to and keeping management informed of changes in requirements.
11. Liaising with management to ensure adherence all local ICAD OHS requirements.
12. To carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms.
13. Attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organisation.
14. To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by legislation, approved codes of practice or HSE guidance.
15. To bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the management.
16. Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations.
17. To recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
المهارات
Qualification & Experience
1. Bachelor or Master Degree in industrial engineering.
2. More than 2 years’ experience in the same field
3. Proficient in MS Office
4. Communication & problem solving.
5. Knowledge of ISO quality standards
