1. Basic Function :
Assist the Electric Logging Team Leader in delivering efficient and safe operational services to the customers and maintaining his assigned equipment in permanent readiness. Support the field operations filling in occasional crew gaps and/or for training purposes. Responsible for radioactive and explosives activities for the logging services. This will include coordination of any related matters inside UAE. Ensure that all requirements for the local authorities, customers and direct supervisors are fulfilled at all time in order to maintain the Explosives and Radio Active license validity. Responsible for all import, storage, transportation and usage of Radio Active Sources for oilfield applications as per FANR rules and regulations and NDC’s Safety Management procedures. Radioactive Protection officer will coordinate and manage the field operation and report the daily operation update to ELTL.
2. Work Performed :
a) Tracks and controls the (Trainee Operators / Asst Operators / Operators / Senior Operators / General Field Operators) at the Base regarding the work distribution, days off & vacation planning.
b) Ensures that all units & equipment, in the Base for which he is responsible are properly maintained and ready for use on the next job at any time. Image, tidiness, housekeeping and care of auxiliary equipment are his highest priorities.
c) Dispatches and receives all units (land / offshore) with proper paper work for respective clients.
d) Maintains an up-to-date Tools Board for efficient operation.
e) Issues LPO and M & S Requisitions for daily operational requirements.
f) Fully controls the vehicle fleet (Land Cruisers / Nissan Truck / Pool Taxis) for safe and journey management requirements and maintain valid registration and field security passes.
g) Facilitates and arranges to carry out routine and annual load testing and certification of all units (Trucks & Offshore Units / Mast) and Lifting Gear and maintaining up to date records in collaboration with FIT Man.
h) Ensures that all the appropriate safety regulations are observed at all times and promotes safety.
i) Participates actively in the training and motivation of crews whilst in the shop.
j) Attends the additional responsibilities such as Driver trainer! Mast Trainer or LPT member etc.
k) Manages all assigned vehicle fleet and ensures that proper usage and maintenance is carried on.
l) Maintains updated records for R/A readings.
m) Maintains and controls records for R/A badges for staff.
n) Ensures that all R/A regulations are understood and followed by all staff.
o) Ensures that all requirements to maintain R/A license validity are fulfilled.
p) Monitors and supervises gun loading activity.
q) Trains gun loaders and ensures all explosives activity associated staff are aware of latest explosives handling safety and security procedures.
r) Sets performance review for all employees reporting to him.
s) Follows up with authorities to certify explosives specialists as required by management.
t) Maintains 100% accurate inventory and control of explosives consumption and physical count.
u) Prepares import order with supervision of team leader.
v) Completes two documented physical count per year witnessed by field engineer.
w) Maintains good service delivery without down time due to equipment preparation, crew management and or due to mis-runs.
x) Carries out quarterly safety audit for the explosives bunker, Radioactive bunker and field operation.
y) Fills in crew gaps as necessary.
z) Ensures and assists Electric logging Team Leader in implementing the Radiation Safety Program.
aa) Assists on Safety Evaluation on new products
bb) Assists on Employee Radiation Safety Training Program.
cc) NDC’s Radiation Protection Program is properly implemented.
dd) Follows and conducts on-site training for Field Engineers, Senior Operators, Technicians and Operators.
ee) Provides emergency and technical assistance as needed.
ff) Maintains UAE’s specific procedures for RA sources handling.
gg) Maintains copy of all required statutory licenses for import, transport and handling of RA Sources.
hh) Ensures that calibrated survey meters are available and that required surveys are completed.
ii) Proper storage of RA materials and inventory documented.
jj) Proper transportation of RA materials and movements documented.
kk) Provides the RA inventory and facilities every year and also as and when required by the competent authorities.
ll) Ensures all formalities and activities are properly documented and records maintained.

المهارات
a) Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science discipline.
b) 6 years’ experience of Logging operations with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory level experience.
c) 3 years’ experience of handling explosives in oil & gas industry.
d) Must be certified as Explosives Expert including local authorities.
e) In-depth Knowledge about explosives and radioactive material handling and local authorities’ procedures.
f) Good computer skills.
g) Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
