Senior Communications Specialist (1 year Contract)

To develop and align all internal communications within the organization and in line with the Nawah business plan whilst also ensuring that the culture is continuously developed in line with the corporate values.
Strategic Planning
Work closely with Corporate Communications Director to make recommendations, develop plans and implement communications in support of a broad range of topics and program communications.
Ensure alignment with and understanding of enterprise/business/initiative goals and objectives to ensure media strategies and other external industry relations communication to support the business success.
Contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Assist in the development of new, and enhance existing processes and communication vehicles – publications, video, surveys, Intranet, executive presentations, social media, etc. – to increase their effectiveness and impact.
Government Relations and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a central point of contact and support for institution and protocol relations between Nawah and Abu Dhabi entities (including Western Region), and build strong relations with them.
Serve as liaison between Nawah and external government agencies and keep Nawah apprised of any external government activities which may have an impact on Nawah’s image.
Build and sustain effective working relationships with government departments and agencies, media, and other stakeholders to support company objectives and help meet communications needs.
Support and coordinate with stakeholders in the branding, media production and special projects to ensure consistency of the corporate brand and messaging.
External Communications and Public Relations
Represent the External Communications division in activities and events, and develop progress reports, presentations and newsletters.
Writing detailed strategic plans (e.g. stakeholder communications, digital marketing, community engagement) with input from relevant department heads
Partner with SMEs across the organization to execute best-in-class external communications messaging including but not limited to broadcast, print and online, writing, distributing communications materials (including media pitches, bylined articles, press releases, etc. as necessary)
Drive the on-going communications activity with consistent liaison with network of PR Contacts and agencies.
Assist in the development of a strong media contact network to release timely information and insight about the company.
Use social media and digital marketing strategies to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users.
Identify new tools and capabilities to increase the quality of public relations and external communications
Support in the management of the implementation of events and sponsorships in the western region and coordinate Nawah and Nawah Communication’s participation in events.
Participate in projects collaborating with communications colleagues within Nawah to continually improve protocols and process for communications support.
Support developing strategies in crisis communication and emergency response drills/exercises and events.
And number of other responsibilites: Content Development, Corporate and Social Responsibility Coordination, Events Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Health and Safety and Security, Excellence and Quality Management.

Bachelor’ degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in Communications, Journalism, Project Management, or related field
10 years of relevant experience
