Water Treatment Specialist

الوصف الوظيفي

Water treatment specialist is primarily responsible for supervising or performing installation and operation of water purification equipment, swimming pools as well as dealing with water storage and distribution operations and activities. The candidate should inspect facilities for the presence of disease, germs or other conditions hazardous to health and the environment, assist water tank cleanings, swimming pool, pest control and landscaping teams in choosing right chemicals, storage and disposal, act as advisory on steps to take, finding alternatives for chemical pesticide which can increase the activity and prepare SOP.

Key Responsibilities include:
Checking quality of water in swimming pools and irrigation, water tanks
Primary analysis of treated water such as pH, TDS, conductivity, TSS, Chlorine level, etc.
Checking for water treatment of potable water is effectively carried out by checking the chemicals added in the treatment such as lime, fluoride, chlorine, Ortho phosphate, etc. are dosed correctly.
Custody of MSDS for chemicals used for tank cleaning, checking chlorine level after cleaning, preparing report for all test done on site, checking for chemicals used are EPA registered and approved by Authorities.
Checking effectiveness of pest control chemicals by checking in 3rd party laboratory, making a study of chemical method against non-chemical method, choosing legal toxic pesticide.
Checking for active ingredients of chemicals and half-life period, stability of product at certain pH.

Knowledge of the principles, practices, techniques and instruments of water quality analysis;
knowledge of routine laboratory equipment, procedures and cleanliness requirements;
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and recognized safety operating practices for field monitoring activities, safe workplace and laboratory work;
Knowledge of the collection of sampling data and preparation of environmental reports
