Job Description

To maintain existing systems that meet our clients’ and employees’ needs on a day-to-day basis and in accordance with service level agreements.
Develop and maintain new systems enabling the company to enter new markets and improve servicing ratings.

Main Tasks

• Database Administrator for Oracle database software. Includes day-to-day management of Oracle, maintaining and establishing databases for new functions, implementing upgrades when required.
• Responsible for the day to day management of Red Hat Linux Server operating system.
• Identify, recommend and implement enhancements to procedures and tasks undertaken by self or team.
• Proactively research ways to improve and develop systems; identify and recommend enhancements for the company, its partners and its clients, to retain leading edge Information Technology.
• Participate in formal and informal technical training with team members to cross train others and to expand own knowledge of systems and business.
• Manage IT projects as assigned to support business requirements.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of SQL database language.
• Knowledge of Oracle database Administration and configuration .
• Knowledge of Linux O/S administration

• Ability and willingness to see task through to completion
