• Previous business-to-business (B2B) commercial sales development experience, including prospecting and generating sales leads.
• Strong customer focus and proven ability to build rapport by anticipating customer needs and providing solutions to their problems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
• Work with senior sales executives to promote collaborative solution oriented relationships with new and existing customers
• Seek out developing trends in customers’ respective industries to be able to foster a consultative relationship
• Work with senior sales executives to handle end-to-end sales process including: prospecting, lead generation, business to business calling, negotiations, writing up customer orders, checking inventory status, coordinating with customer service and production departments on deliveries, and following up on order status
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers
• Follow up with new leads including new customer call-ins and web based inquiries
• Promote new products
• Trouble-shoot customer complaints
