SUMMARY
Responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat sheets, or instructions, emails, business latters.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Explain technical ideas in simple language in professional language.
2. Provide technical written direction on product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, and marketing specifications.
3. Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples in order to provide the professional technical writing required, gather information on their subjects in libraries and on the web.
4. Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals.
5. Able to manage the content and become an active participant in the user community.
6. Able to Manage and handle the creation/acquisition of content for different web based applications and online portals in accordance with the schedule
7. Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.
8. Write articles and reports on current trends in fields such as science and engineering.
9. Submit copies to managers for feedback.
10. Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.
11. Follow a life cycle called document development life cycle.
12. Release the document following final approval.
13. Conduct online tutorials.
14. Provide updates and different editions as necessary.
15. Work closely with sales and pre-sales to optimally position EgyptNetwork products and help close customer sales.
16. Able to Support PR outreach as company spokesperson and product expert.
Education
• Degree in computer science, telecommunications, business or related fields.
Requirements and Skills:
1. Good experience technical writing (Must be able to show work product samples)
2. Solid knowledge of the documentation process from design to commercial release
3. Working knowledge of technical software for publishing online (e.g. Content Management System or online help system). This includes proficiency in publishing content for web sites, marketing materials, and training documents.
4. Excellent business writing skills
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Experience with implementing and maintaining On-Line Help systems (EXP. Robo Help software, Madcap Software )
7. Excellent organizational skills
8. Excellent creative and technical writing, editing and coordination skills
9. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
10. Able to discussing technical details with analysts, sales and presales, as well as senior executives from business and technical perspectives.
11. Knowledge of leading documentation tools and documentation delivery options, with experience in preparing online and print documentation for users of software products
12. Very good communication and research capabilities ,Previous work experience in translation, copyediting, and/or copywriting, is an asset
