Bringing up a new 5G SoC software platform is a challenging task that requires a collection of skills on both HW/System architecture/ Embedded Software and protocol stack experience.
The SoC hosts multiple subsystems including a 5G radio and its SW stack which require mainly a lot of development in the Layer 2 and Layer 3 on both control and data planes
RESPONSIBILITIES
- SW development & maintenance on LTE and 5G stack (mainly L2/L3 layers protocols PDCP, RLC, MAC, RRC, NAS, SDAP)
- Testing (on HW target & in simulation) to ensure SW quality
- Solid understanding of SW architectures
- Solid understanding of memory heap management and zero-copy transfers
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Good understanding of 3GPP Specs
- Strong experience in L2/L3 Protocol Stack development
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills
- Python or other scripting language for tooling and automated testing
- Protocol debugging using Wireshark/Logs/GDB
- Experience with different level of testing from Unit testing/ Component Testing and end-to-end testing
- 5-10 years of proven experience as a protocol Stack developer
NICE TO HAVE
- familiarity with Agile methodologies such as TDD (Test Driven Development)
- coaching and mentoring experience for younger engineers
