1.Conducts and oversees the preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
2.Evaluates all maintenance request forms, sets priorities, and process departmental work assignments.
3.Hires contractors or subcontractors to perform maintenance work too specialized or extensive to be performed by the maintenance staff.
4.Maintains all maintenance records.
5.Conducts training on life safety and other programs
6.Works with the business office to maintain all appropriate permits and licensing.
7.Provides reports on all life safety, maintenance issues.
8.Performs routine inspections of all HVAC, emergency and disaster systems and equipment.
9.Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
10. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering,
Experience:
six 6 years of facilities management experience with three (3) in a management
Capacity.
Experience in a healthcare or institutional forensic mental health or correctional setting preferred.
Experience in life-safety systems, computerized work order management and preventive maintenance systems.
