About the Job
1.Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
2.Setting up, and continually improving, the organization’s Databases infrastructure.
3.Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
4.Oversees rules, procedures and standards for access / permissions and maintenance of shared data resources.
5.Ensure that database security is effectively managed and policies are reviewed on a regular basis.
6.Demonstrating the ability to diagnose complex customer application issues and provide quick and accurate solutions within a collaborative environment.
7.Taking ownership of issues from identification through resolution.
8.Providing fellow system administrators and support representatives with technical support and guidance.
9.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
10.Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
11.Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
12.Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
13.Load computer storage devices, and install software.
14.Configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
15.Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
16.Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement.
Job Requirements
1.University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
2.2-5 years’ experience as a Database administrator
3.Experience in databases administration (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle) is a must
4.Knowledge of networking principles
5.Experience with Linux environments
6.Experience with high availability systems
7.Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8.Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability
9.Able to work under tight deadlines
