PHP Web Developer

You will need to have a background in developing websites and applications (utilizing PHP), with 3+years commercial experience, ideally having worked with multi-server websites. You will be expected to show a portfolio of your work (with a focus on elegant solutions not design) and be able to demonstrate areas of the code both in terms of user-interaction and back-end complexity.

Technical requirements for the role:

Demonstrable experience with PHP 4/5
Demonstrable experience with PHP Frameworks (Zend, Cake, Igniter ..etc)
Demonstrable commercial experience with advanced level JavaScript, DOM manipulation
experienced in writing complex SQL statements and queries
Proven capability to plan, build and implement simple & complex web-based sites and solutions in a variety of different, standard web languages with full understanding of standards and accessibility compliance.
Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients.
Communicate to the Project Manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays.
Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients.
Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities.
Be actively involved in and contribute regularly to the development community of the CMS of your choice.
Develop innovative, reusable Web-based tools for activism and community building.
Develop and create web-based for mobile platform
Very good knowledge with Joomla, Wordpress, . . .etc

Advantageous qualities may include:

experienced with Regex
experienced with .htaccess directives
experienced with mod_rewrite
experienced with perl/CGI
experienced with Smarty.
